Packages

Three Coating Packages, Honestly Explained

“Ceramic coating” isn’t one product — it’s a range of chemistries and layer counts. Here’s what’s actually in each package we offer.

Preparation & Correction

Coating Only Looks as Good as the Paint Underneath

Ceramic coating doesn’t hide swirl marks or hazing — it locks in whatever condition the paint is in when it’s applied. That’s why correction work happens first, every time.

  1. 1

    Wash & Decontaminate

A full pH-neutral wash followed by a clay bar or chemical decon to strip embedded contaminants a wash alone leaves behind.

  2. 2

    Paint Inspection

We check swirl depth and clear coat thickness under raking light to decide how much correction the paint actually needs — not every car needs the same amount.

  3. 3

    Paint Correction

One to three polishing stages (light cut, medium, or heavy compound) remove swirls, oxidation, and light scratches before any coating goes on.

  4. 4

    Panel Wipe & Cure

A final isopropyl alcohol wipe removes polishing oils so the ceramic coating bonds directly to bare clear coat, then the coating is applied and cured under controlled conditions.

Realistic Durability

How Long Coating Actually Lasts

Manufacturer warranties assume ideal conditions. Here’s both the rated lifespan and what we actually see on Cedar Park daily drivers.

Where It’s Parked

Garaged cars easily beat the numbers above; daily sun exposure and tree sap accelerate breakdown.

Wash Method

Automatic brush washes are the single biggest reason coatings fail early — hand washing roughly doubles realistic lifespan.

Climate

Central Texas heat and UV exposure age any coating faster than a milder climate would.

Maintenance

What Owning a Coated Car Actually Looks Like

Ceramic coating reduces maintenance — it doesn’t eliminate it. A few habits make the difference between hitting the realistic lifespan above or falling well short of it.

Do

  • Hand wash every 1–2 weeks with a pH-neutral shampoo
  • Use the two-bucket method or a foam cannon to avoid dragging grit across the paint
  • Dry with a clean microfiber or silicone blade, not an old bath towel
  • Add a ceramic-safe spray topper every few months to refresh slickness

Don’t

  • Don't run the car through an automatic brush wash — it's the #1 cause of early coating failure
  • Don't use dish soap or degreasers — they strip the coating's hydrophobic layer over time
  • Don't let bird droppings, tree sap, or bug splatter sit — rinse within a day or two
  • Don't wax or apply a second sealant over ceramic — it won't bond and just wastes product

Pricing Factors

What Actually Drives the Quote

We don’t publish a flat price list because two cars booked for the same package can take very different amounts of work. Here’s what we’re actually pricing.

01

Vehicle Size

A coupe and a full-size SUV have very different surface areas — bigger vehicles take more product and more labor time.

02

Paint Condition

This is usually the biggest swing factor. A well-maintained car might need one light polish; a neglected one can need hours of multi-stage correction before coating.

03

Package Tier

1-year sealant, 3-year ceramic, and 5+ year ceramic use different products and layer counts, priced accordingly.

04

Add-On Surfaces

Wheels, calipers, glass, and trim can be coated separately from the paint and are quoted as add-ons, not included by default.

05

Maintenance Plan

An optional annual inspection and topper application extends realistic lifespan and is quoted separately from the initial install.

Every quote starts with a free in-person paint inspection — that’s the only way to give you an accurate number instead of a guess.
